The skin is the largest organ on your body that gives us 360 protection and it is super important. Like armor for the battlefield. But not because it is mainly for protection means it cannot look good. When we ask what is the secret to glowing skin, we are told often by celebrities it is drinking lots of water and which cream and or supplement must be used.
I am a fan of supplements and my wife is a fan of creams but I will not be telling you about these things. After all, every skin type will require a different type of cream and supplements are not some super-powered, magic elixir that gives you sparkling skin overnight.
Plus I am no dermatologist so I prefer to bypass all the BS and get to the facts that work for all. So let us dive right in.
1. Never lose patience and squeeze a pimple.
Our hands are used to do so much every single second and as a result, most of the time they are covered with bacteria. For that reason, you want to refrain from touching your face.
Touching a zit that you think is begging you to release it will only make things worse. All you are really doing is adding bacteria to it and delaying its demise.
So exercise patience for your skin’s sake.
2. Have a skin-care routine.
To get things done more effectively you need to do what you are doing consistently. As I said before nothing works overnight. Plus starting and stopping often will not allow for there to be any change. So, create a routine and stick to it. Your skin will love you for that and it will show.
3. When using skin-care products apply from thinnest to thickest based on their texture.
Your skin is like a big sponge ready to soak up all the nutrients from the creams being applied. Because of that, to maximize efficiency and get the most results you should apply the thinnest textures first and foremost. The thicker creams applied last will help to hold everything in.
Oils have the tendency to create a barrier that blocks anything from passing through it. As a result, be mindful when applying oil-based creams and ensure those are applied last.
4. When applying creams use your weakest finger to do the job.
Yes, not all your fingers have the same strength. Of all your digits the weakest is your ring finger. Using your ring finger will ensure that the least pressure is used when massaging in the creams and let you have fewer wrinkles over the years to come.
I hope you find these tips useful towards your road to making your skin beautiful. Have a great one!
